Barton Vintage Mahogany shells are made using only the finest African mahogany and birch wood to create a perfectly balanced set that captures the wonderful tone of mahogany.
Instead of “tone killing” poplar to balance the ultra-lows of the Mahogany, we use premium birch for the core plies. The combination of these two woods gives these shells an amazing “sweet” musical sound.

Our Vintage Mahogany shells are formed using inner plies of genuine African mahogany, core plies comprised of birch and an outer “face” ply of ribbon mahogany. All this, and a satin finish.
The “included” snare is 100% North American maple with a matching ribbon mahogany face. Shells are available in two configurations:
1) 8X12, 14X14 14X20, 5X14, birch hoops
2) 9X13, 16X16, 14X22, 5X14, birch hoops
